FU does Barbados

Sooooo after a lot of planning I finally got to go back to the place I love... Barbados of course wooohooo and I didn't go by myself I was accompanied by my beautiful girlie's Reenii and Sasha from #TeamFU.
So 1st of all I though I would surprise Reenii with Sasha as I had previously told her that Sasha couldn't come and she was soooo gutted, so I thought I would just not tell her Sasha was actually coming and just let Sasha turn up at the airport and watch her reaction, cuz she's sooooo expressive.

Anywayz so I caught the 2am coach to Gatwick and had me a nice sleep OMG it was a good sleep and arrived at Gatwick looking like some really funky Japanese tourist. I had on my cartoon strip leggings a long white vest with a gold peach sign on it, my green wedge sneakers, a blazer, crazy accessories and my hair in kinky twists.

So I met miss Reenii who was looking very stylish in her black leggings loose top short black bomber jacket and some really cute flat knee highs (I was actually secretly jealous that I didn't wear my thigh highs like I had originally planned) lol

So we got checked in *cough cough* my bag was overweight....

Anywayz had the nicest breakfast at a Wetherspoons through duty free had a full English washed down with Chamomile tea and a Malibu and cranberry (just to get the holiday started)

Then we had a lot of time so decided to go upstairs and find some comfy chairs to nap on, omg Reenii was knocked out but I kinda slept light like a mama bear protecting her cubs and keeping an eye out for anything.

Eventually we got on the plane and them 2 slept now when I say slept they slept like it was a sleeping competition lol I was determined to watch some movies so I drifted in and out of sleep. Oh yeah we fly Virgin (of course) and were treated like rockstars we even had champagne woop woop.

Got to Barbados we all loved it our hotel was great and the staff were lovely...

And I can't be assed to type the rest so here it is in pictures, which lets face it, is a lot more fun :)

Sooo wish I went to UWI

I swear all them kids do is party, I remember when me and Sasha did our final year dissertation in Barbados, no seriously we did, we did how the church and politics effect the media industry in Barbados, see it was a good one. Anywayz we went to UWI for 1 day not even a full day, we went for a few hours to use their library to do some research and managed to get invited to campus parties. I wonder if anyone actually finishes their course there cuz it must be sooo easy to get distracted. Why couldnt my uni be more like UWI. I seriously wish I'd studied there instead of Spain oooh wuda been sooo much fun, prob wouldn't have wanted to come back home.
I wonder if I can go back there to do my masters... hmm....

So i dunno if it's a bajanthing or just a my mum thing... so anywayz we were at the airport seeing my cousin off and all went to a coffee shop. When asked if she wanted tea or coffee my mum replied 'I aint want none of that froffy pilates foolishness' LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

My auntie nearly died. I keep having to explain to my mum that not all short words are an abbrevieated version of a long word.

She just makes up her own little things. Even if the name is right in front of her she has to call something her own name ie; my daughter loves singing/dancing to handy manny on Disney channel, my mum joins in his name is now hannaman. She even asked me what the hannamans name was I was like Manny it's handy manny! hehehehehehe

The Cricket match

So I aint really into cricket and I don't even know who won. I went to watch the Barbados V Austrailia cricket match in Chiswick yesterday. The weather actually held out and it was a nice day. A fiver to get in but it's cool. As soon as we walked in there was like a sea of black folk so then we 1st had to find my auntie then go find my uncle.

After a bit a searching we found my uncle and all his food and drink, with his family so I put my pretty pink chair down in the circle and looked for drinks :-) Everyone was shocked that I didnt want rum and coke or any other alcohol for that fact, I think i've drunk 2 much in my life time now I just dont like the taste of it. SO i made myself some Virgin cocktails and Sasha did the drinking on my behalf.

There was loads of stalls selling various bajan food I did have to get some fishcakes and pretend I was back in Oistins for a second. Oooh speaking of food can u believe people brought their pots out and everything most people had a hamper full of food and my family were no different. My uncle brought bare food there was curry goat and rice, salad, chicken, fish cakes, hard dough bread basically everything and he had a mini bar 2.

Obviously everyone from Reading was there, as Reading is Barbados lol I think Martin J djed there was supposed to be some Jam Session which never happened and the music was played quite low :-(

I came to realize that everyone knows my mum and my uncle every 10 secs someone was comin over to say hi or shouting them from across the field or little circle seemed to be quite lively to the point where if you moved to go toilet u'd come back to find some next bajan sitting in ur chair and talking loudly.

We baptised Sasha into our family she's offically a bajan now (even tho shes guyanese) lol

It was just a nice day no trouble no stupidness, nice vibe everyone was happy and friendly (probably cuz most of us bajans r related which is why my man is jamaican lol) but yeah I really enjoyed myself and I can't wait to go back next year.
