So basically the magazine has been held up again, this time by the group we were suppoed to be using on the front cover. We did a photoshoot with them and everything and all I asked (like I do with everyone else) is just for them to fill in a small questionnaire (like 10-15 questions) just so I can get some background info on them and write it into a feature story. I sent it to them like maybe a month ago and still have not recieved it I've sent out reminders and everything but still nothing. Now I'm just annoyed I can be assed to to chasing people when theres like a million other artists who got their stuff in on time who would love to be on the front page of the magazine. Plus we took some really good pictures of the models and a designer called LJ which came out briliant that we could easily use on the front cover.
This is why some people stay where they are and others move ahead. Everyone else saw it as a great oportunity and got their questionnaires in to me pretty much the next day and stayed in contact if it was gonna be late or whatever. Literally everyone has sent their stuff back to me apart from these guys UNDERGROUND UNIT!
It's just really frustrating becuase they're talented guys but if they're gonna be this long their talent aint really gonna be exposed to anyone other than channel U viewers. Like I said none of them have even bothered to say 'do u know what we've been busy sorry you'll have it 2mrw' I let them slide forever and I told them I needed it Friday nite otherwise they won't be featured. No response so it shows how much they care about that init.
Oh well like I said theres a lot of other talented and interesting people featured so now we have to re-do the front page and take Underground Units pics out and put on an alternative front page write a different feature, this is just gettin longer and longer.
In the future I aint waiting I'm gonna be really harsh with deadlines once it's set if you miss it thats on you cuz going over a deadline just has a knock on effect to everything else, which then ultimately makes the magazine look unprofessional and inconsistant.
